Hi my name is Kate O' Neill and I have been working as a sports therapist/ massage therapist for the last two years.
I have had a keen interest in running since the age of eight, and as a result, I have had various minor and serious sports injuries. I went to numerous therapists for different injuries, and felt dissatisfied with some of the treatments I was getting. I was then fortunate to have met Dave and Tina Corcran, who have been my sports therapists for the last eight years.
I was always amazed at how they could heal myself and many others, some with long term/ short term injuries. It was for this reason I decided I wanted to become a sports therapist.
I did two courses when I finished shcool. The first covered Holistic therapies and sports therapy and the second was just sports therapy. I wasn't impressed with how they were run and felt the need to further my studies. I talked to Dave and Tina about it and they mentioned their next NSRT course was starting. I had received good feed back from my running coach who just finished their course at the time, so I jumped on board!
The course was run over one year, for 14 weekends, which was perfect because it meant I could work also.
The people in my class were all very nice. We had great laughs throughout the year but when the time came to study we got together on weekends and helped one another. It is a very well organised course with top class tutors. It was a great investment, as I have my own practice now which is going very well.
