Shoulder & Back Injury Workshop

This workshop is ideal for massage therapists interested in developing the skills required to identify and treat common Shoulder and Back injuries.

Workshop Content:

• AC Joint Injury 
• Subacromial Bursitis 
• Biceps Tendinitis 
• Rotator Cuff Tear 
• Supraspinatus Tendinitis 
• Impingement Syndrome of the Shoulder 
• Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, 
• Cervical Disc Protrusion, 
• Lumbar Disc protrusion 
• Cervical and Lumbar Facet Joint Problems 
• Spondylolysis 
• Spondylolisthesis 
• Causes, mechanisms of injury and differential diagnosis with Shoulder / Back injuries
• Treatment of Shoulder / Back injuries referencing case studies and using the following techniques
• Massage
• Soft Tissue Release
• Positional Release
• Stretching & Muscle Energy Techniques 

Students will be presented with case studies from some of the listed conditions outlining presenting features, assessment including focus on special tests, suggested treatment with specific Massage Techniques and Rehabilitation

Workshop Duration:

• 1 Weekend (Saturday 9-5pm, Sunday 9-3pm)

• € 250 (€ 220 to NSRT graduates)
